Frequently Asked Questions

  • Executive functioning is the brain’s "air traffic control system." It helps us manage all the thoughts, tasks, and feelings flying around in our heads — so we can get things done, stay calm, and keep life moving smoothly.

These are the behind-the-scenes skills that help us:

    • Make a plan and stick to it

    • Start a task (even when it’s not our favorite)

    • Stay focused without drifting off

    • Remember what we need (like homework or a water bottle)

    • Handle changes or surprises without melting down

    • Keep cool when things feel frustrating

  • When these skills are tricky, you might notice…

    • Big emotions over small things (“But I don’t want to!” 😤)

    • Getting distracted or off-task easily

    • Starting something… but not finishing it

    • Constant reminders to get ready, pack up, or follow directions

    • A backpack full of crumpled papers and lost permission slips 😅

    • Trouble figuring out where to start on homework or chores

  • As an occupational therapist, I help people learn brain-based strategies to make daily life feel easier. Together, we work on:

    • Creating routines that actually stick

    • Learning how to plan, organize, and manage time

    • Practicing tools to stay calm and flexible when plans change

    • Boosting independence and confidence — one small win at a time!

Think of it like a brain workout with real-life results — so you can thrive at school, at home, and everywhere in between.xt goes here

  • I am not an in-network provider, however, I provide detailed invoices (superbills) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Many families I work with are able to receive partial or full reimbursement for my services with out-of-network benefits.

  • Sessions are either held in your home — where you or your child can practice skills in a familiar environment — or virtually via Zoom for added flexibility.
